Welcome back to Foxes
I hope you had a fantastic Easter break and got to relax and visit lots of friends and family. This term will be full on, we are beginning our new topic of 'Was it a Disaster?' - taking a look back into the past at the Whitwick Mining Disaster and how it changed mining in England. We will also be looking at coal, renewable resources, some prominent figures and parliamentary acts, George Bissell and so much more. Along with this, we obviously have our SATs in a couple of weeks which we will be recapping and revising for in class. Keep practising your times tables at home and reading lots of fantastic books to help with this. In this week, we also have some fun treats and activities up our sleeves, stay tuned to our Facebook and Twitter page to see what we get up to. After SATs, we will begin working towards our end of year production - so look out for the scripts coming home and help your child to learn their lines. It's been a couple of years since we have been able to put on our production and so we are all very excited to go out with a bang! Also, plenty of transition work will be completed, getting everyone ready for the next great adventure in their school life. PE will be on a Wednesday and Friday, please ensure that your children come to school in their school PE kits on this day.
